Barru – Ketua DPRD Barru Lukman T, membuka Rapat Paripurna DPRD dalam rangka Hari Jadi Barru yang Tahun ini menginjak usia ke-62, Sekretaris Daerah DR. Ir. Abustan AB, M.Si yang membacakan Sejarah Singkat Kabupaten Barru sejak masa kerajaan yang merdeka dan berdaulat hingga membuat konfederasi kemudian menjadi swapraja, terdengar jelas di Puncak Peringatan Hari Jadi Barru di Gedung DPRD Barru, Selasa (1/3/2022).
Dihadapan Plt. Gubernur Sulsel, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman dan Bupati Barru Ir. H. Suardi Saleh M.Si, bersama segenap undangan, Sekda Barru membacakan Sejarah Singkat Daerah.
“Ini sejarah singkat Kabupaten Barru yang secara administratif terdiri dari 7 Kecamatan, 15 Kelurahan dan 40 Desa dengan jumlah penduduk 177.217 jiwa,” sebut Sekda Abustan.
Selain menjabarkan proses Kerajaan Tanete, Barru, Soppeng Riaja, Palanro, dan Nepo yang kemudian Kerajaan tiga diantaranya membentuk konfederasi yang dinamakan Limampanua, termasuk Lamuru dan Labakkang, sedangkan Palanro dan Nepo, Bacukiki, Soreang dan Bojo juga membuat konfederasi.
Disebutkan, bahwa pelantikan Kapten Infanteri La Nakka sebagai Kepala Daerah Pertama Kabupaten Barru pada tanggal 20 Februari 1960 yang kemudian ditetapkan menjadi Hari Jadi Barru, penetapannya dilegitimasi dengan Peraturan Daerah Nomor 2 Tahun 1994.
Sekretaris Daerah Kabupaten Barru yang sempat 9 Hari menjadi Pelaksana Harian Bupati Barru di awal 2021 ini, membacakan Delapan Bupati Barru, Lima Wakil Bupati, dan Sekira 13 Mantan Ketua DPRD Barru selama ini, secara berurutan lengkap dengan tahun Periodenya masing-masing.
“Semoga segenap mantan Bupati, Wakil Bupati, dan Ketua DPRD yang telah mendahului kita, mendapatkan Rahmat sesuai amal ibadahnya masing-masing,” sebut Sekda Abustan mengingatkan dan mendoakan para pemimpin pendahulu di Kabupaten Barru.
Dirinya menutup pembacaan sejarah Kabupaten Barru dengan harapan, semoga derap langkah dalam membangun Daerah mendapatkan Rahmat dari Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’Ala.
