Barru – Musim hujan tahun ini sudah memakan korban jiwa, seorang pria yang telah lanjut usia dengan umur sekira 80 Tahun, ditemukan meninggal dunia, setelah diketahui jatuh Pukul 11 Siang tadi, di bantaran Sungai Lajari, Tanete Rilau, Sabtu (13/11/2021).
Bupati Barru, Ir. H. Suardi Saleh M.Si, yang mendengar kabar duka ini, bersama istrinya drg. Hj. Hasnah Syam MARS, bergegas meluncur ke Rumah Duka, Dusun Buttue, Garessi, guna memberi ucapan duka.
“Innalillah Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un, Warga kita atas nama Pak Mise, telah ditemukan, semoga Keluarga yang ditinggalkan dapat tabah dan menerima kejadian ini dengan lapang dada,” sebut Suardi Saleh yang turut prihatin dan berbela sungkawa atas kondisi ini.
Korban yang sudah berusia lanjut ini, ditemukan oleh Tim Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Barru yang memang telah disiagakan dan turun bersama warga sekitar.
Sebagaimana diketahui, hujan deras di Barru sejak kemarin sore, mengakibatkan meningginya permukaan air dibeberapa tempat termasuk bantaran Sungai, serta menambah laju derasnya air yang mengalir.
Bupati Suardi Saleh mengingatkan kepada khalayak, agar meningkatkan kewaspadaan serta bersama saling menguatkan untuk melalui musim penghujan dengan segala resiko yang menyertainya.
“Kita sudah melakukan apel siaga dalam menyiapkan semua pihak menghadapi musim penghujan ini, namun semua akan lebih mudah jika masyarakat mau turun tangan untuk saling mawas diri, berdoa dan turut mewaspadai potensi bencana dari bahaya banjir,” ungkapnya menyampaikan pesan kepada khalayak.
